My name is Candace. I am a teacher, mother, and full-time autism advocate. My academic work has focused on American Literature and Gender in Media. Presently, my areas of interest are promoting autism acceptance and equal education rights for students on the spectrum. I’m a writer, conservationist, live music enthusiast, and supporter of fan-fiction. Always a lover of poetry, I’m learning the beauty of non-verbal language, too.
This blog is named for both of my children–Autistic and NT–who hum all day long. A happy little chorus of contented humming (and sometimes clicking) is the soundtrack to my life.
